Pentax K-1 AF button fell off...

Gah, I always do back focusing using the AF button on my cameras, and now the AF button fell off. Fortunately I did not lose it, but I am not sure how to reattach it. Has anyone experienced this and fixed it? Thanks!

I once re-attached the RAW buton in my k-30. the button has a pin, a sealing rubber cone, and a restraining clamp on the other side(inside the camera). now i dont know weather the k1 has the same principle, but if you see a long pin with an incision near the end, i think it is the same. unfortunately you yould have to disassemble the camera, which in the case of the k1 is much more difficult han the k30. I would take it to a repair shop.
I hope this helpes!

If only to preserve the weather sealing I would send it in for repair.
Is it still in warranty?
What were the circumstances when this happened, just so we might avoid it.

Well, I don't take it into the weather except by accident. I just use the button whenever I am auto-focusing. It seems that that was all it took. I did come up with a fix, but I am not sure how long it will last. There is a little silicone rubber cone under the button. This cone goes over a plastic pin. I put a very small dab of super-glue with a pencil point in the center of the back of the button, and a very small dab on the pin. It worked, but if it comes off again I will send it for repair.

Seems like it just came off then rather than something that actual broke. Hopefully it will stay in place this time, fingers crossed.
