The cover will still block the signal and the holes won’t be weather sealed. A polycarbonate top cover isn’t detrimental to the durability of the camera except as an intellectual exercise.

800 g is 800 heavier than the lightest Sony, not good enough.

I am cackling at the USB-C triple port (are those UHS-II as well? ), it's brilliant. You forgot the Eye Detect AF on the VF, which will be an OVF but with three color histograms, focus peaking and magnification.
Perhaps a hybrid OVF / EVF?

That's probably what I am actually looking forward to... if the absolute geniuses at Ricoh/Pentax manage that, I'd drop off my nonexistant hat and save up for such a marvel...

Is the k-1 super nomenclature a stab at Nvidia?

I'm not gonna lie I'd like usb c and a proximity sensor. USB c is just so much better, even just as a port.

It looks like the bottle opener on the bottom of the camera has been forgotten.

Can a USB-C port handle 8.3VDC input? Many astro users need external power in.

What are the latest FF sensors these days- 47MP? 52MP? That is probably were it will go up to. The reduced noise accelerator chip I'm sure can be an improved version, and is very helpful in reducing increased noise that comes with a higher MP design. I'll take one of similar size to the KP, or at least the K-3 II!

Try 60mp as evidenced by Sony's new A7R IV.

The Pentax K1 is pretty much the ideal FF DSLR in my eyes. And with an L bracket mounted it also doubles as a beer bottle opener...

I'd think it's more like the ME Super or the Super Program.

Some time back, I mentioned that a larger top LCD could be had by making the rear control wheel do double duty.
I like your design, (other than the GPS / magnesium issue) so I would throw this in the design mix!

The "holes" could be inserted with some of that special wood used on the "Kustom" KP.
