My guess is somewhere $1400 - $1500. If it's going to be top tier APS.C, can't be any cheaper than that.

I could see initial US pricing a good 15% to 20% higher than KP initial pricing was.

I am getting more excited about what Ricoh is going to show up with here and could see myself buying a copy, say, six months after it goes on sale to let the dust settle, maybe a firmware update if needed, and prices to drop once or so.

I'm expecting 1300€ / $1400, but knowing how ridiculous prices for these things are in Europe, the € price is gonna be USD+100 or so...

I think it's safe to say that it's gonna be at least the same value, but in € instead of $. I'm never sure if tax is included in the $ prices, so converting that to € and slapping on VAT seems to be a reasonable explanation for the 1:1 or worse conversion rate?

It will price open where K-3 opened, I expect. It will be more advanced, probably with some unique technology. So no inflation over what the last flagship opened at would be a bargain.

Ah, that could be it, I always forget that the tax is added afterwards in the US for some reason (it was SO infuriating when I was there )

It wouldn't surprise me if the new camera was priced the same as what the K-1 was originally priced at release.

Price for K1 seemed ok when it came out ..at that time only D750 was close enough in price.
Fast forwward today, same d750 is sold for around $1K and Z6, EOS R are much better options compared to K1 with a slightly more price.
Who would dare and buy K1ii today??
Who would dare? Raising my hand! I'm waiting for the price of this new camera. Depending on how much it is, I will be interested in it, or a K1ii. So yes, I'm daring!

I think it depents what features will it have.
If it has hybrid viewfinder and AF comparable to D500, it might cost 2000 USD or even more (yes, it's more than K1). But it not, i think it will be something like 1500-1600 USD as day 1 price.

Or they might announce this new APSC and say there will be new FF camera in near feature. If so, price might be even 2000$ for this APSC and something more (how much?) for k1 III.

Why would z6 and eos R much better options?
I think exactly the opposite and have no idea what is the advantage of churning especially when you have nice K mount glass...

Because 24 MP and so called "build quality" are better than the K-1. Nikon had to drop the price a lot already... The EOS R is a closer match and is quite reasonably priced, though.

I have 24 MP Apsc and find it a perfect...
As for build quality I ve read it is the same between Z6 and Z7, but dont see any difference with the one of the K1, above average anyway.

Sorry, I keep forgetting to add the sarcasm tag. I think the Z6 is overpriced.

My guess would be a launch price of 1500 to 1600. This is assuming the improvements in the auto focus system are as rumored and top end.
I image this as well, some where near the $1800 Canadian range
