No, my 5yo gets my K-3 as her beginner camera. The K-3iii will act as an enabler for my mostly K-1 focused system and I'll use both to their strengths.

i know more recent bodies like the K5ii i owned offer more options than the K10d bodies I own. Never regretted the sale of ther K5ii though.
For an old school photographer like me the K10d offers me all I need. Excellent image quality, strong as an ox, utterly reliable.
I do not need live view, low light level AF, 10 Mp is more than I use most of the time.
AF is not fast and sometimes erratic, I do not care.
If I really need fast and intelligent AF I use a Hasselblad H6d with ultra sharp lenses by Fuji.

To please myself I upgraded to a 50 mm Macro AF Pentax lens that gives about the same IQ as my old 50 mm A series lens.
Besides the much used 50 mm macro I have another body fitted with the 17-50 Sigma lens, a third K10d is fitted with the excellent 18-200 mm Sigma lens.
What more could I wish for?

Nope, no plan on updating, since I just took delivery of a KP! Very happy with my choice.

As for me, I was hoping that all the K3 III buyers would flood the market with cheap K3 and KP bodies, so I could move up in the Pentax world. It hasn't happened yet.

My wife has appropriated my K-3 II and old screw drive 55-300 to sit on the counter in case a cool bird comes to her feeders, so that's going nowhere. Undecided if I want to sell the K-30, as it's been relegated to 3rd string status.

I will probably gift the *ist that's technically my son's, since he hasn't touched it in a long time.

I am not looking to sell any of the DSLRs I have

my K 3 is on loan to my younger brother for use with a telescope

the KP I was lucky enough to win in 2019 has been " inherited " by my son and daughter in law

the K 1 will be used in the areas where it is better

My K 3 II will be used when I need to have two cameras ready at the same time

the K 10 D will be used when I want the CCD sensor

Nope, not selling the K10 and especially not my K3. I will use the K3 as a backup to my newly acquired KP.

The more I see of the K-3III, the greater is the draw to get hold of one! And with GPS via Bluetooth from my phone, I won’t miss the GPS on my K-3II. I’ll be keeping the II though; like many others here I won’t be selling. Besides, the II will still be useful for the built-in Astrotracer that the III doesn’t have!
