Now that I've thought about it more I'll probably end up selling my KP too when the new Pentax becomes available. The only camera I wouldn't even consider selling is my K-70.

I'm definitely not selling any of my cameras. There's no point for me at this moment to replace perfectly functioning cameras. Maybe in the future and that would probably be 3 years down the line, I might get one. But who knows I might have some spare cash. I'll get one for my daughter.

I would not worry too much.
You have all of the rest of the month to qualify and you don't need to feel rushed to achieve it

I'm perfectly happy with my KP (and my K30 which I would always keep for sentimental reasons) so no new DSLR for me. I may pick up another KP if people start selling them for crazy low prices once the new camera is released, but 2 cameras is enough so that's probably not realistically going to happen.

I'm not going to sell my K50. It has 70k shutter count, it has SR problems and it has many scratches on it, so noone will give me eve 50$ for it. But it will look good on shelf.
I'm not going to sell my K5 also, that I just bought. It has to work for me for next few months until K-C (or however will it be called) will come out, but also will work for me as backup afterwards. And who knows, maybe I will teach my love how to use it?
