Thank you. Shot handheld. The lily was next to a parking bay I had just stopped in. The black specks is road dust from the busy main road.

No I will keep my K5iis and not purchase the new model. Reason is that I am shooting more medium and large format film and less digital. That and the K5iis is still a great camera. And should still have lots of life left in it.

Have a look at these images from the K-1:

Thank you. Or rather - thank the K-1! See what I mean?

I wouldn't sell my old camera to get the new one, I would keep old and get the new too. I hope the new flagship is a huge improvement.

I'd certainly be tempted if the specs are right.

I have usually had to sell my current camera to help finance a new one.

Not a chance! I love the KP just as it is. Don't want no stinkin' joystick.

If it is a 7DmkII mini-me with IBIS, then no.

If it has a hybrid viewfinder it gets my attention.
The lack of tilt-screen though kind of kills it for me as a do it all generalist camera.

We'll see....

So when the new APS-C flagship comes, will you keep your current camera and buy the new one or sell your camera and upgrade?

Personally, I might go either route. I don't really need 2 cameras but occasionally I've felt as though I could've used 2 cameras in certain situations.
It wouldn't be that I'd "need" two cameras, rather keeping one for backup in case something happens to the main camera. I've kept my K10 when I got the K3, for that very reason.

I haven't sold a camera that I've owned yet, so probably not.

I know it's silly of me but after spending so much time with them I develop a strange attachment to that inanimate object. Guess it's the memories.

What should I sell?

My K-1 which I just got earlier this summer? Nope!
my KP which I hemmed and hawed about buying but am very glad to have purchased. No way Jose!

My K-5IIs? Unlikely to part with it unless the new camera just screams "Buy Me!" Since I am not an early adopter of technology, (at least not since the 70's.) Maybe if the friend I gave my K-r to wants to upgrade, I would sell.

I did sell an Olympus compact camera, a really nice one, and my beloved K30 but that was only because the nearly new (280actuations) silver KP was too cheap to pass on and I needed to raise money fast. I can't see the IQ being much better than the KP and I have a K3, so, no. But if my euro millions comes up I will buy one for everyone

Well, maybe not everyone lolol

Sell my K1? Doubtful. Some other gear most likely.

Whether or not I buy the K-new will depend on if I feel there are features I need/ want, how well it fits my hand, and how well the viewfinder works with my eyes.
