The only cameras I've sold are:
1. Miranda MS2 Super (K mount ME Super clone) bought back from the buyer I sold it to.
2. Super-A - I bought another a few weeks later, then another....
3. SFXn, I bought another, then an SFX...

Not that there's a pattern. My K-5 is worth much more to me than I could sell it for.

Fortunately, the camera itself does not take a good picture. It is only a tool. P.S. It's good to have a good tool if you have the option to buy it

The K10D has a pretty decent following. You'd probably be surprised. For as old as it is, I was surprised by what I was seeing them being bid to on eBay. (Usually for at least as much as I snagged my K-7, and often more.)

That's actually surprising. Anyway, even if I would like to have a more silent and efficient camera, I think I'll take it with me.

I’d like to see the specs, not sure of any feature that would get me to give up the KP. I think that the new one will be larger and heavier than I would want, the KP is a perfect size for me.

Same here. The KP is superb and compact. There is nothing from my K3 that I miss when I use the KP. I do however prefer my K3 for bigger lenses. In an ideal world I would swap my K3 for a K new but I have no NEED to do it, it would just be a nice extravagance

Over the last 8 years I have bought and sold, or part-exchanged a Nikon F6, D200, D3, D4, D800, D810, D850, D500, D7100 and D5100, an Olympus OMD EM-1, and a Leica M. In that period I have never sold a Pentax. I now have an MX, Z1, Z1p, MZ-S, K10D, K-7, K-5, K-5 II, K-3, K-3 II, K-1 and two Q7s. I gave the K-5 to my sister-in-law, but swapped it back later for an Olympus EM-5. The only Pentaxes I can recall part exchanging were a P50, an MX and an SFX, to finance the purchase of newer Pentax models. So, if I am interested in the new camera, I am very unlikely to part with a Pentax to purchase it.

So you have an impressive story of the road to Pentax fame

Yeah, something about Pentax makes them a keeper.

I am pretty sure I won't buy the new K, though I do intend to get a new camera. But maybe Pentax will surprise me and creates a camera that I'd want to have. I really hope so.

And I'm not selling the K-5. What for? It's not worth much anymore anyway, so I much rather keep it. IMHO it's the pinnacle of modern Pentax cameras anyway. I wouldn't trade it in for a K-1 or K-3, let alone any of the "lesser" models. Ergonomics are perfect, video quality is as good as it gets. Though I do miss the CCD sensor of my *istDS. There was something special there.

I wouldn't sell my latest ASP-C...a 9 year old K5... when the new one comes in. My K5 works fine, so does my K10D for that matter and my K1. You never know, but I'm thinking that I may have bought my last new camera, unless something catastrophic happens to the ones I have. Part of thinking I'm not going to buy any more new cameras, is I'm older and content with what I have.

Both my K5 and K1 are working fine...touch wood ..and I'm pleased with the feature set they have.

The only thing that will persuade me to buy the new K is if it has much improved autofocus. I love my K-1 and K-3 II, but my hit rate with my Panasonic G9s and my Nikon Z6 is noticeably higher. And here I'm talking about studio portraits, not erratically moving subjects. I live in hope.

K10D is a tank, very well build. My father has one since 2007 and still rocking
