So far it's 100% viewfinder.

force of habit to begin with, shooting style a very close second, not been in a situation yet that would be helped using live view.

Not opposed to it, I use the ground glass focusing screen on my 4x5 so it isn't novel (although seeing everything right side up and properly oriented left to right would be some what novel).

K1 - viewfinder almost all the time.

MILCs - whenever the rear LCD is more handy than the EVF.

I use the viewfinder about 80% of the time handheld. On tripod it’s about 50:50. For macro it’s almost 100% LV.
Yep +1, pretty much like this myself.

I can't seem to master live view... for focus peaking hand held.

Despite the fact that I wear glasses all the time, I use viewfinder at 100% when using hand held.

On tripod I use live view to avoid moving the camera body and avoid back pain.

My K10D doesn't have LiveView, so I only use the Optical Viewfinder.

Another +1 except even less live-view usage. I don't find focus-peaking more accurate and certainly not easier. No doubt those who have used it more consistently and over a longer time will disagree.

Too much old school here. What ain't broke I guess.

I use the viewfinder about 98% of the time. However, there definitely are times where I'll use LV instead, such as if I'm shooting an event in a large room with a lot of people and I'm composing that sort of picture that requires you to hold the camera over your head (to give an idea of crowd size).

I get better focusing with the viewfinder, and use that most of the time. However I'll use the LV when I am shooting low or high and often while on a tripod, especially when I have critical focusing because I can zoom in on the screen. I do this both with the K-1 and KP.

If DSLR focusing screens were better I'd probably use the viewfinder a lot more, as it is though its probably like 60/40 with the viewfinder edging it out a bit.

I stil lfind it easier to compose through the viewfinder, even though it should be easier seein the flat image in live view and I used to whip the prism off the 6x7 to compose quite often - I suppose it's eye muscle memory or something - but when I've got the composition right I go to live view to make adjustmnets if the camera is on a tripod. Handheld, I'm 95 % viewfinder, except hen camera is at waste level or low to the groud or above my head etc.

Viewfinder 99% of the time. I only use the live view when I'm trying to take a picture of my kids by surprise... to make it look like I'm just fiddling with the camera
