A real old one.
Without the 3D glasses that is actually kind of creepy.

The cha-cha method can work well but you have to be careful not to rotate the camera from one exposure to the other, and keep the center of the frame on the axial focus point as closely as possible. The K-1 makes this fairly easy since the viewfinder includes a center reticle and inclinometers on two axes. You could also use the auto horizon setting to prevent rotation I suppose, but you have to be within certain limits for it to work (since the sensor can only be rotated so far).

Here's an example of a shot with the K-1 in ghost reduced analygraph (red/cyan) and relaxed-eye side-by-side (courtesy of the StereoPhotomaker program). These were produced from two original K-1 shots which were color corrected in photoshop, and then resized and corrected for axial focus and geometry errors in StereoPhotomaker. The slightly yellow cast on the tower was due to a setting sun.

I believe that it was a major brand, perhaps Kodak.

Thanks Bob256 for that information. I will look into that.

Another Kodak attempt to provide 3D imagery! A brief quote from my long discontinued website : "Marketed by Kodak Japan and purchased in Tokyo, this camera takes 16 'portrait' format 'lenticular process' pictures on 400ASA Kodak Super Gold film"

I enjoy 3D photography and viewing 3D both with red/blue glasses and free/cross-eyed viewing. It might be nice to have a group here dedicated to 3D.

Pentax also built a 3D mode into some Espio digital P&S cameras (including the Espio RS), it came with a 3D print viewer 'O-3DV1' (which works reasonably well on digital image from the stereo adapter : Stereo photography with the Pentax Optio | ePHOTOzine

I also have the Vivitar QDOS lens - to me it had the effect of a series of planes of depth (a bit like a pop-up card). This is a link to a photo on the UK forum: Vivitar QDOS 3D
