Are Sync terminal cap universal across brands?

I loosed my K3 Sync socket cap. And I found similar one on eBay but it said for Nikon or Fuji. I wonder if it will fit on Pentax K3 socket?

This is my second time loosing it, so I guess I will lose it again in the future. I want to buy a handful of them.

Using a K5 cap after loose the first one. It works good for a while then I lose it again during a trip shooting in the rain and my camera develops internal condensation. I am using a black rubber tape for now. It works good in heavy rain. If I can't find anything reasonable, the black tape might be a permanent solution. It just looks... like a piece of black tape!

If anyone has ordered or can confirm something like what seen on links above, please let me know if it works? thanks

The Nikon-style threaded PC fitting is different than what is used by Pentax. This has been a source of consternation for some users in that Pentax does not sell the caps, at least not in N. America, and threaded PC cables cannot be screw-fixed onto Pentax cameras.

I've had a similar experience. Only original Pentax screwed PC sync cables screw into my cameras. Aftermarket ones don't.
I think condensation inside your camera comes from somewhere else, perhaps handling. I never use the cap on my K-5 and had that never happen to me. You might want to put it in a dry cabinet for a while without lens and battery. All open. Or put some dry silica gel packs inside.

The used K5iis I purchased was missing the PC sync cap. I covered the port with a small square of black gaffers tape which has stayed on with no issues.
