Will a Fujinon 55mm lens work on K100D

I have a mint Fujinon f1.8 screw mount lens and would like to use it on my K100d. Will it be compatible with the camera if I use a M42 adapter. Thanks.

I see no reason why it wouldn't. But I would recommend getting the genuine Pentax adapter. PentaxWebstore Mount Adapter B (35mm Screwmount to Bayonet)

Watch out for some EBC-FUJINON lenses, that have a small notch in the aperture ring (to index aperture reading into the Fujica screw mount). This notch may be "too high" and may scratch your body around the lens mount, or will "lock" the aperture ring when lens is screwed into adapter.

Of course, use a genuine k-screw pentax adapter.

It will not work, besides wide open.

Besides the aperture "protrusion" getting in the way of the aperture ring twisting, the aperture pin is depressed when the shutter is triggered on an M42 camera, like most M42 lenses. There is no manual mode...so...the lens is always open.

I wish Pentax would make an adapter with a stopdown flange. I had one for my EOS so I could use the 55/1.8 even though I had to unscrew it a bit to change aperture value.

Thanks all for the info, based on the replies I think I'll leave the lens on the Fujica.
