As Adam says, you could use it towards something bigger- like a lens. Your kit has no wide angle FOV. Several ways to address that. The least expensive would be a small kit lens. There's the little old standard, Pentax 18-55mm WR which operates with the usual screw-driven AF and has decent capability and would fill in your zoom range.

But if you can find a good deal on the smallest, the Pentax DA 18-50mm f/4-5.6 DC WR RE lens would be better. It is uncannily small, which makes it a great companion on the K-S2. The RE means retractable for carrying. It is so small releasing the retracted lens is a little fiddly, but I got used to it. DC means it has a quiet, and accurate DC motor for AF. WR means it is weather-resistant, like your camera body. Good in case it gets drippy when you are shooting. It can also deliver very good image quality. Here in the US, I noticed B&H is running a sale with 33% off the original price of that lens, which was around $300 USD so maybe you could find a good deal on Amazon. You can actually get this combo into a large jacket pocket- with a zoom lens, mind you!

Another fine Pentax zoom lens is the DA 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 DC WR which is quite compact for such a zoom range, and also very well built.

Otherwise, for super-wide angle, I recommend the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 EX DC HSM.

The close up adapter is an interesting idea, I do have a macro lens (SMC Pentax-D FA 100mm F2.8 Macro), and have been wondering how one would work on my macro lens.

that is an excellent short telephoto and capable of 1:1 macro

as I understand it, [ I don't have a close up add on Raynox close-up adapters ] they would give you more magnification

although I think you use them with non macro lenses

do a search for Raynox for more info about them here on the forums

Gear is always good but maybe use it for some print services.. theres a ton that you can use through Amazon. Have some of your favorite images printed in some form. I think theres something just special about taking a digital image and making it into some analog and concrete.. something you can enjoy all the time.

+1 to this, excellent idea. The Raynox close-up adapters are convenient and good quality.

Tamron Adaptall 90/2.5 + Raynox DCR-150

Pentax F 35-70 + Raynox DCR-150
Not to hijack the thread..but these are excellent examples of what the Raynox can do in the right hands!

That is an extremely good macro lens, and already capable of 1:1 macro shots.
