A look at the K5 sensor (Sony IMX071)

Just completed taking some images of the K5 sensor by Sony IMX071

We take so much technology for granted. These images are a reminder of how mind-blowingly amazing camera sensor technology is. Thanks for posting.

Macro shots of integrated circuits reminds me of a very orderly city scape. Nice job!

It's looong time ago since someone here have mentioned the Pentax Service Manuals. Perhaps you will find it useful - with a lot of picture from inside the camera. And technical information of all kind. How to disassembly/assembly the camera, step by step, adjustments, etc..

Among other places you will find it for K10D on the 1st link here. An older model than K5 but it looks most probably very much the same inside.

Deserves special attention. It remains one of the most respected sensors to have come along. Pentax made a brilliant incarnation of this sensor. I still have a love for my K-5 IIs even after acquiring the KP, which also has a subsequent great sensor. The much older model still produces very fine imaging.
