What is this???

When I shoot concerts and there is a lot of darkness in the background I often find a few of these weird little specs on my images. Before I got my K100D's sensor cleaned, I knew some of the discolored spots were dust, but now these look like they could be "hot pixels." I'm including a 100-percent crop to show one of the little star-looking blue things. Any ideas?

Looks liek a hot pixel. Raw converters usually mask them out.

Definately a stuck pixel... I had about 10 on my K100 near the end of the warranty year, so I sent the camera in to have them mapped out. Four of mine were close enough to the center to be seen on crops of faces and macros...

Hot pixels. I get them too on my K100D on exposures of over 1 second.

Is there anything I can do on my own to get rid of these hot pixels aside from just removing them in PP? Thanks.

If you shoot raw, several raw processors (Pentax Photolab, Adobe Camera Raw are two that come to mind) automagically remove them when you process the pictures. That's the easiest way, and yet another good reason to shoot raw.
