Re: Mikes Thread on DP Reviews

Hello Mike;

I read your thread on DP Reviews re: 10 mega pixels not enough for Pentax K10D. Well I agree! Really!!!! As you know the only reason I came on board with Pentax was the knowledge that their new pro camera will have a choice of six major resolutions, starting at 21 mega to 32, 64, 128, 256 and 512 million pixels on an APSC sensor with the provision of going up to 12800 iso with very little noise or the option to emulate Agfa Chrome 1000 iso slide film. It will boast shutter speeds of up to 1/20000 of a second at a frame rate of 16000 images per second. Included with the camera you will receive a two year contract with one of the ten best photo agents in the world with a guaranteed daily rate of 100K* per day photographers fee not including royalties. The camera will come in at 299€ including their Kit lens the venerable 10-200 f1.4 Ultra Slop Platinum Lens.

Now go and make the announcement on DP Reviews and ask why Phil hasn't yet covered this story..

ROFL - the only thing you need is the refills for the camera to make that stuff now.

The biggest failing of all d-slrs is that they won't take a film cartridge. Preferably in 35mm roll format. I am inconsolable about this missing feature. Mine own ego has been smitten like shards of smashed crystal.

My dream Pentax lens is a f2.8 wide to telephoto lens that that only allows in golden hour light. Don't forget the aperture ring.

Remember the cupholders. If my minivan can have them my camera must have them. They're also useful for storing coins and ice cream cones in a pinch.

Oh yeah... must have a holster attached to the camera for bear spray and a hunting knife. I go into some pretty wild countryside (the usual places... mountains, national parks, Gotham City) and I carry a kit in case I encounter a grizzly or mountain lion.

Who cares? At 43˚C/109˚F in the shade on the coast this p.m.anything would do. Lord only knows what it's been like inland.
