Just as an info:
Upgrading firmware not necessarily ends debug mode. My K-1 has been in debug mode for years and I applied several firmware updates to it. It still is in debug mode.
So for those curious souls among us, what are the primary benefits of this on a K1 for instance?

Salam Pentaxians,

UPDATE : As I tested files only on K30/K50/K3/K3 II , please confirm if it's working for other models
Thanks, Fayssal. KP works!

There are a ton of options in the debug menu but the main thing I use it for is when there's a lens that needs AF fine tuning beyond -10 and +10.

I know that you can also copy/update lens ROMS.

I for one would not download files from a member who had just joined. A very naive post Fayssal.
Well, all files are 100% save.
I didn't have the debug-modes for the K-S1, K-S2 and KP so now I have them and they work fine.

Hello,
I am Interested as well in files for the k-3 iii for AF adjustment.
If I understood correctly, you have to leave the camera in debug mode after performing the adjustment? What happens if you leave debug mode? Do you lose the adjustment?
At first I thought it was used to set a global adjustment value that was added to individual lens adjustments. Is it not the case anymore?

Also, are there any downsides in leaving the camera in debug mode? In software, debug modes usually can have some impact on performance because of additional logging of data for instance. Is it the case here?

Thanks

Thank you for your support

Thank you so much for the flies collection to enter debug mode, especailly K-3.
I have two cameras, K10D & K-3 now.
I'd like to change SDM to a screwdrive of DA* 50-135 because it's brocken.
Anyway, I try to enter debug mode to K-3 and can see lens rom camera to SD.
However, it's not worked properly even the other options are worked well.
So, I cannot get the rom data of my 50-135 lens.
Is there any way or solution to get the lens rom data?

I have converted three lenses using a K10D

modset.txt file with the following:
[OPEN_DEBUG_MENU]

Maybe give that a go rather than your K-3....

You cannot use the K-3 or later for converting SDM to screwdriver!
The K-5IIs was the last one were it worked but also any early such as the mentioned K10D, K20D, K7 and the smaller K200D or K100D will work.
K-r or K-x I don't know, K30/K50 and later will not work.
