Originally posted by Dartmoor Dave Recently I've been looking through some old snaps and reprocessing a few raw files, wondering which of the various cameras that I've owned since the digital era began is my favourite. And the winner is. . . by a country mile. . . the K100D.
I didn't really understand raw processing very well back in the days when I had my K100D, which was 2011 to 2013, so the results that I got at the time didn't really do the camera justice. But going back to those PEF files now, with almost ten years more experience of raw processing under my belt? Well holy moly, the colours rendered by that sensor are the best thing since Kodachrome!
So I've just bought one. Should be here over the weekend.
That is just great news. Been missing all the beauty that your artistic eyes detect. Paul and the gang over at the 6MP club will be thrilled as well, I'm sure
As a curiosity, from your brief recent experience with the K2000, what would you say were the shortcomings of that camera especially compared with the K100D, which should have similar ergonomics? I recall you got rid of it pretty quickly, I don't think I even saw a picture taken with it.
