Secondly, if the hike is on a weekend and within 30 miles of Seattle, it is a zoo! There will be no parking and the trails well be packed with people.
It'll be the same here as Spring arrives and with the easing of covid restrictions. I had the whole place to myself during the winter months, but there were many more visitors on my last trip in March. Same with the beaches...so quiet and peaceful during the lockdown.

I didn't understand the trail lockdown. I mean, I'm bumping into people at Costco right and left in a confined space and that is okay. But out in the more obscure mountains trails where you might pass but a few people on a trail in the wide open was too dangerous! Go figure.

But Mike, in sincerity, are those really now the CCD colors? I see a lot of computer work in those shots and that has to alter the essence of the sensor's collected colors I'd think.
tuco, I never needed to touch the vibrance or saturation sliders, ever. This deep saturation is what came SOOC. When I switched to the 645Z, the SOOC files were so much more muted, that I do always make some adjustment to colors from the start.
Yes, the CCD colors are definitely more appealing to my eye vs the CMOS ones.

I don't usually use the onboard flash but I did here as it was so windy I could not get a good shot.

Magnificent pictures, guys!

Here's K100D + SMC Pentax 24mm F2.8. I wasn't lucky with sunlight today, this was taken during a 2 minute long "window" in the clouds. A short snowstorm came a couple of minutes later.

K200D + Super-Takumar 50mm Macro

I haven't used the K200D in a long time, so I'll share some spring sun on flowers in the back yard. ISO320 on the grape hyacinth and daffodil, ISO100 on the tiny buttercup, f5.6 or f8.

Nice lupine, @paulh!

I've had this sharp Japanese oldie Asahi Pentax SMC 135/2.5 for years but yesterday it was first attached to K100D.
