It was a kind of horror, actually. There was no one else on board but the two of us, and the boat started moving the very moment we entered it. We were crossing to an island (forgot its name) to have a trek and sleep in a tent. In that weather!

@paulh: I have an SD1100IS! Amazing little camera. Still toss it in the tankbag of the motorcycle from time to time.

Thought this could be interesting for an comparison against the *ist. Took an old D50 and film-era Sigma superzoom with me for a morning walk, at F8 and with the vivid JPEG profile or "Color Mode MODE3a" in Nikon speak. Not the best choice for close-ups (at 100% you can see it's really struggling), but I'd like to think there's something special about that bokeh.
