Didn’t know you had a Lumix LX3 Paul. And I forgot they have a CCD sensor. Love mine, one of my favourite cameras.

Yes, I've had it for a couple of years. It *is* a sweet little camera!

I've had this Pentax Optio A30 as long as the Caplio GX100, but it's always taken a back seat, not least because it only takes JPEG and doesn't have the customisable controls of the Ricoh. I pulled it out and charged it up recently, and taking it out early one Sunday morning saw this rainbow as I pulled up in a car park. Jumping out of the car I could see from the LCD that it was underexposing for some reason, but it's so long since I used the little camera I found myself fumbling desperately to find may way into the menus and the manual controls as the rainbow faded. The couple of frames I did get were underexposed, but I've done what I can to rescue this one;

It does also do bokeh, of a sort;

For the first time ever I managed to delete all copies of a file and had to go back and recover deleted files from the sd card in the Optio A30. I found these on there left over from 2008, and wondered why they looked so crisp and fresh until I looked at the ISO - I had been using 64. I think I've become lazy, just relying on auto-ISO or pushing it right up without thinking. I've usually got plenty of shutter speed to play with;

You are making a very good point. Because of the huge ISO possibility on the K-1 I have often pushed it way up higher than necessary and therefore pushing up my shutter speed more than necessary on Av mode. Recently I have started shooting at the lowest ISO setting and just gradually raising it until I get a shutter speed around 1/100 sec.

I will join this society. My far from perfect Olympus E-400 10mp ccd. Photo is for color only. Filmed raw, transported at Olympus Workspace without processing. I'm not a fan of CCD matrices, but rather an amateur)). I feel the difference, I like to shoot portraits, but the technology clearly does not give the results that you expect, primarily in terms of dynamic range. I have kept my first digital camera Canon g5, there will be a reason to use it again.

I had to run and get a step ladder as the blossom was too high to get a downward shot. He (the bug) was happy to wait for me to get into position.

It was a beautiful autumn day today here in northern Wisconsin USA. Took my Pentax K10D with CCD sensor. I suspected the oranges/reds/yellows/greens of the foliage would really pop.

I used various lenses, but the one I liked the best was my 1957 Pentax M42 Takumar 58mm f/2 lens. It's just TINY, but oh does it make terrific colors and bokeh! Also, I was quite surprised with how sharp it is! Images from this little gem are below.
