I'm glad someone else picked up on this - I walked away after looking at it thinking of the naive flattening and distorted perspectives of medieval paintings, where figures would fall off the steep slopes they had been painted on. Certainly adds intrigue to the photo

People here are encouraged to pick these as desired. Lupins are an invasive species. But I like their looks!

Oh, I didn't know lupins are called rockets too, but rocket salad is not made of lupins but arugula ;-)

They aren't. But it was a rocket science to photograph this scene as the lupins were madly swinging in the wind and light conditions were changing faster than the 1/1600 shutter speed!

Thanks Al. I remember those flowers being in a very tight spot & I had to struggle to get decent framing. Live view would have been helpful!
