My old K200D with the CCD sensor was amazing. The focus was weak but the image quality was incredible.

Still my favorite camera...

I think at the end of the CCD run, Pentax (or Sony) got the color science right and it looks very close to the Kodak colors. I think these sets of pictures help make that point...

Agree. Wish she was living indoors, life on the streets is hard.

Thanks!

Thanks. Nice to see everyone has been keeping up the good work here

I've been on a couple of trips ,just got back from Mexico. I've been using the K200D for all my scenery pictures and the K-S2 for sports. I could do without any other cameras...

Here's some of the very few walls that are left from the Mayan fortress at Tulum, Mexico. They are rebuilding the Fort for tourism, but on the new walls they put concrete to hold the rocks. These are held in place without concrete which is how one can tell they're original.

K200D and HD DA 18-50mm, wide open at 18mm. An underrated lens IMHO.

More from the Mayan fortress at Tulum, Mexico.

You can tell these were recreated, as there's concrete holding the rocks together. The original buildings were ran into the ground by rain, sun, wind and, mostly, by the iguanas, who make their holes under all the rocks and weaken all structures - and are a protected species in this region, so they can't be messed with. Archeologists hate them...

Both K200D and HD DA 18-50. I've incorporated Corel Aftershot Pro 3 again at the end of my RawTherapee workflow, mostly for the Perfectly Clear algorythm and for the healing brush. Let's see if I can make this workflow work well, but it doesn't seem to be slowing me down at all.

More from Tulum, Mexico.

This is a recreation of the main building in the Mayan complex within the Fort.

Where you see the 3 windows at the top, there's an opening at the back, seen by the middle window. Once a year, on March 21st, at about 6AM, a light shines through that window at around 6AM, for about 4 seconds.

The Mayans were super good at astronomy.

If you look close enough, there's Mayan writings all over that building...

Alright, so let's look closer...

And even closer

All with K200D and HD DA 18-50mm f/4-5.6. There was some rain at the end so I was glad that this was the lens I had on the K200D.

While my K1II was at Phototech getting its sensor cleaned I went for a walk around Manhattan and Hoboken with my K10D and the Pentax DA 18-135
I saw these 2 art objects, so different but similar at the same time.
