Thanks Christian. Right now I'm kicking myself for having waited nine years to get another K100D. Having this old six megapickler back in my hands is making me happy in a way that no mere camera has done for a long, long time.

It's a sweet little cam in more ways than one. I'd probably try to snag one if I didn't already have three 6-megapicklers (two D's and a DS), plus the two K10D's

Like the old potato chips commercial... It's impossible to have just one Those older cameras are cheap and still plentiful... I've been on the lookout for a K-m/K2000 myself...

Thanks Paul.

Then (hopefully) here's a first quick test shot with the new/old K100D. I haven't had a chance to get out in any decent light yet, so this one is in harsh mid-day sunshine. . . with sunshine, of course, being something that I'm very unused to shooting in around here.

That is a very pleasant and peaceful scene that is nicely composed and nicely exposed, Dave. Changing circumstances mean that I don't often get the opportunity to go out shooting but when I do it is usually in harsh sunshine so you just have to make the most of it. And you have done just that.

Exactly how I feel about my D200 and now K10D - why? I have no rational explanation, I just like playing with old stuff long live the CCD cult!

Three things can be said here: Great colours, average ergonomics and poor build.
Check the battery compartment whether it keeps powering the camera while you shake it.
Check if date/time are kept when you remove the batteries for a second.
Sensor was collecting dust even without changing lenses (I had only the kit lens during first years).
Aperture dial changing randomly directions and broken rubber eye-piece were just the minor problems.

I'm thinking of getting a K10D in a very good condition. The price is more than acceptable but I still don't know if I really need it. I'll decide after we return from our vacation (provided it is still available).

@wirrah What a 'bull'! Great shot.
Love the other shots as well.
