It matters not. I just hope they vet the name against American word associations, which can be truly stupid.

The Pentax DZ-1 brought to you by Ricoh. So we can all argue the correct way to pronounce Zed and that it has the Ricoh name on it and complain that it sounds like “dizzy one”

Something else!

K-3 III has too many III

Pentax boxed them selves into a corner with the K-7 / K-5 / K-3 / K-1 countdown; leaves K-2 maybe, but then what will the NEXT one after that be called?

Time to start a new (numbering?) system

As Pentax's DSLR offerings are now evolving along three separate tracks, (APS-C, full-frame, and medium format) it would make sense to evolve the model nomenclature to reflect this. Given their most recent DSLRs' names, it would make sense for them to evolve into a system where APS-C and full-frame bodies are differentiated by letters vs. numbers; that is, full frame bodies would receive a numerical model name following the 'K' (e.g., K1) while APS-C bodies will be given an alphabetical name (e.g., KP). But then again, when was making sense ever a priority?
