Assuming that something like Moore's Law applies to technology all the way to 2089, the suggestions above seem ultra-conservative.
By then, still or moving images seen by the eyes, or altered/created in the mind, will be recorded in a tiny implant under the user's thought control of content (plus some legally required in-built censorship!). From there they can be transmitted, at the user's will, directly to the mind of anyone anywhere with a similar implant who chooses to 'view' them, or sent to real-life-quality devices - 3D holographic display, 3D printer, or traditional 2D art medium (print).
But who knows? It is of course possible that, while all this is happening around them, the Pentax engineers will still be happily cooking up new recipes for glass and polishing prisms.
