New Flagship from Pentax??

Hey everyone! My son and I just got back from the Photokinda expo in Shermany and got a sneak peek at the new flagship coming out in 2089!! It is the Pentax Spotmatic KP!! It has all the great features of yesterday and today!! It is fully automatic, AND fully manual!! It can go from ISO 20 to 819,200!! Of course it is built like a tank in true Spotmatic tradition! Best of all, you can use it in film mode OR in digital mode!! I've already pre-ordered mine from G&H!! Way to go Pentax!

But does it have both a flippy and fixed screen? Only way everyone will love it is to have both.

It better have 8K 30,000K video, as well.

Does it come with dual viewfinder? The optical and the electronic for each taste?

In 2089 it will be very important for new cameras to have fixed LCD screens. I mean, we can live with articulating screens, but think of all the advantages you're missing out on without a fixed screen.

Times have changed. Everyone is into lip creases now. No lips? No picture.

"The Ricoh Imaging Pentax Sportmatic F-KP SFS Mark I is the world's first interchangeable lens camera with a modular user-selectable mirrorless reflex mechanism. Featuring twelve selectable sensor configurations and one film-simulation option, this innovative imaging device optimizes the optical path in real time to minimize distortions and aberrations regardless of the chosen focal length. Its dual-module on-board autofocus circuit provides near-instantaneous focusing accuracy and millimetric tracking precision. Offering a multi-level customizable quick menu and the famous Pentax Green ButtonTM, the Sportmatic-F KP SFS integrates a manual on-camera shutter speed dial and a novel frame counter that automatically resets after 9,999 shots. The retro mechanical self-timer is continuously adjustable from 1-240 seconds.

In response to user requests, the camera is available with an optional snap-in fully-articulated, rotating reversible multi-mode Swivel Flippy Screen (SFS)."

Do not forget to mention that camera directly communicates with Stralink mesh network and provides immediate upload of the freshly taken image into your Instapound account.

All of that high tech gobledygook is wonderful, but nobody has asked the really important questions.

Does it come in other colors?

Will there be an available selfie stick that incorporates full camera control and 6 extra batteries?

If it doesn't shoot 36 6x9 frames on 120 film with live view and dual pixel autofocus I'm not buying it.

Assuming that something like Moore's Law applies to technology all the way to 2089, the suggestions above seem ultra-conservative.

By then, still or moving images seen by the eyes, or altered/created in the mind, will be recorded in a tiny implant under the user's thought control of content (plus some legally required in-built censorship!). From there they can be transmitted, at the user's will, directly to the mind of anyone anywhere with a similar implant who chooses to 'view' them, or sent to real-life-quality devices - 3D holographic display, 3D printer, or traditional 2D art medium (print).

But who knows? It is of course possible that, while all this is happening around them, the Pentax engineers will still be happily cooking up new recipes for glass and polishing prisms.

It will be 40K video, so every few years the instruction manual will change and half the features will be nerfed

In the ever-tighter photography market, this is a major step up for users. We hope all three both of them will be thrilled with the new camera.
