I get the multiple exposure part. I played with multiple exposures last night. Not sure I see the practical point. Is it supposed to be a way to do HDR right in the camera? Or is it for making pictures of ghosts?

Both or either. Same as we used to do with film!

Wishful Thinking..

I *had* similar experience when I updated the latest firmware for my *ist D. Just for the first impression, but later on I found that it was just an coincidence after longer use.

So, this was just a wishful thinking of mine for hoping the pics are exposed better with less underexposure.

It means, um, that, when exposing multiple, obviously, you should correspond to, you know, development in the Raw data, in the camera. Or something like that.

You could use it in astrophotography to stack several exposures in-camera.

Wouldn't you have problems with the multiple short exposures getting out of register, unless you used a tracking mount? I guess that's your point - the tracking mount would be essential.

Not sure about the exposure. I usually fiddle with the exposure compensation all the time, but to me it seems to underexpose a bit more than it used to, but maybe that's because I've mainly used my (new ;-) 17-70 sigma, instead of the 50mm 1.4 lately. Can't remember that I've have to use a exp comp of +2 before.

I do think that it auto-focuses faster, both with the 50mm, the 17-70 and the sigma 70-200 (f2.8).

I've noticed that ever since I updated my K10D to 1.11, my car runs better.

I don't know about my car, but my teeth are whiter.
