My impression when I had the K-1 was that the optical image size of the crop area was similar to what I got on my crop k-3. I have a Sony A7rII and I have yet to shoot in crop mode. I may eventually but I can’t compare results for that reason. Even when I did have the K-1 I was mostly using ff or near ff glass and cropping only in post.
Interesting - by optical image size you mean the size of the viewfinder image? Of course with an A7 you would have a full-size (if possibly lower resolution?) image in the viewfinder.

Yes for the K-1. Not sure one way or another on the Sony - I must remember to test it. But of course that impression may be off. I know a 35mm like my old PZ-1 has a larger finder than my APSC dslr systems.

I dream of having that lens collection holy cow. That being said, full frame 36 megapixels is amazing and would make full use of your amazing lenses.

I have try some FA lens in a K1ii and result CA / purple fringing when stop down even one stop... kinda upset.

My question is should I just go for K1ii enjoy the FF but need to fine turn every photo CA / purple fringing etc/, or go for K3iii and build my DA line up?

It's very headache in real I hope got some input here... many thanks.

The itching is not satisfying the tethering support of the current setup... no cable support and using wifi eye-fi (already dead) solution to mac computer

FYR: The K1ii in my area is USD1700
Holy smokes that's an awsome collection you have. However I can't answer your question but if you are happy with the apsc iq, other than noise than I would go for the update a k3. If you feel like your missing something in your photos the k1 might help.

K-1ii all day long normally but you're used to APSC so I'd go for the K-3iii and pick up a K-1 on the marketplace. Reasons being that the K-3iii will hide some of the deficiencies of your A's and Fa's whereas the K-1 will quite brutally expose them.
