Yes, I will. Have been wanting it since the first prototypes were to be seen, which is when I started saving up for it. May take a year or two, or even longer, till I can afford one, but that doesn't matter because my K-3 is still cracking on as on day one (see image below). It's just that the K-3 III brings tangible improvements in so many areas, particularly at high ISOs and in the tracking abilities, and I know that it will fit me like a glove. I can wait, but get my hands on it I ultimately will.

Absolutely not. Far to expensive. I did consider it up to the moment that the price range in yen was mentioned. And Ricoh made a lot of promises regarding the K-3 III, but can they deliver?

Yes. Reasons:

- natural upgrade for my current K-3 ‘backup’ body for my K-1 when used for paid work
- specs look great, especially low light performance, viewfinder, AF
- ideal basis for a high performance compact travel camera kit with Ltd primes
- Pentax ergonomics are best in class
- works with my existing lens investment
- I want to support the company’s ongoing success.

Some people are unhappy with the price but I won’t be upgrading again in 12m. Long term TCO therefore paints a very different picture for my wallet as well as the planet. I see Pentax filling a specialist SLR niche brand now, not the high volume mass market place.

I write this as someone who came to Pentax 12 years ago from Canon and spent the last 3 years really trying hard to love Fuji as a travel camera, but just can’t get over the inferior handling compared to Pentax.

Now, no (I only use APS-C for macro and telephoto and don't have any APS-C lenses - and the K-3 is still good enough for my needs)

so long the AFC and AF tracking is much improved (and could come close to what the D500 can do), then definitely a YES.

But given the launch price, may have to wait some time, for price to come down a bit.

Perhaps end of this year, maybe there be some Xmas promotion etc.

Sadly, no. It just came out to Greece at 2000e, which is a fair price, many would say...but does not quite agree with my wallet. It's certainly a future consideration. With another release (?) maybe it will be approachable. For now, let me look for a used lens, best case scenario.
BTW, I did not see any high ISO samples yet. Did anyone ? Ricoh has some but only at ISO100-200...

No. Absolutely not. It's an extravagance. I wouldn't do it justice. I wouldn't be able to convince my better half. But it's what I initially thought about the K1 and I now have one. It was also my first response to the KP and now I have one.

Yes, pre-ordered, but only because of a really good deal over Easter. I was planning to wait.

I decided 6 months ago that it would probably be more than my budget and bought the KP. No regrets there but I do hope it does well and I'm looking forward to seeing the first pics and reading the reviews on PF.

I’ll probably buy one, but I’ll wait to see what a few people here have to say, first.

Yes , already did with 15% off Easter special.
I recently retired so this would be my last new Pentax camera.
Unless....... Pentax will come up with a new version of the "Q" or MX-1 or K-01

When I can get the money together, and if it lives up to expectations (which seems likely) then yes. I do take a few available light candid photos so I want to see what it's like at ISO 9000 or even higher, compared to my K3 at ISO 9000.
