Not likely. I'm still very happy with my original K-1, and when I crave another camera it's medium format. My back-up cameras are my K-5 and K-01, and I use their batteries in the K-1 way more than the cameras themselves.

Yes - I should be able to afford a body only when my local shops has pre order available.
I want the battery grip too so that will take a bit longer to save for.
But yes I will be buying this camera new.

I’m aware of that option... Still, is it a good idea to cede your privacy rights AND the privacy rights of your innocent subject to some busybody when the O-GPS1 is available?

For me, it’s an easy decision... M

No, but only because the sensor is too small.

Can't wait to see the "K-1 III", which I'll buy without hesitation.

I was keen a few weeks ago but just placed an order for 150-450. Late adopter... maybe Spring 2022.

Answer is probably when the price falls. I just buy all my gear like that. But, the writing is on the wall for me. I have resisted full frame so far, but if pentax releases a k1iii with similar ovf tech, similar af, and bumps the frame rate to 7 fps, it's going to be really hard for me to resist that. Or if some of this tech makes it into a kpii form factor, that would be pretty appealing as well. Any way you look at it, this next generation of pentax bodies is going to be difficult to resist for me. They seem to have found their vision. I'm an engineer by profession. Mirrorless appeals to my engineering side - I think it is great stuff, but when I want to go shoot photos, I just love the pentax way.

Nope. Like the new tech, but I find FF to suit my shooting and lenses, so will patiently wait for next K-1.

@michaelina2: page 36 of the manual, in setup menu 4, ‘smartphone link’, ‘store location information’.

Almost certainly.

I've been excited by the new camera for a while, and its proper introduction this week has heightened my interest. I've identified a host of improvements over my K-3 II which promise to make my shooting even more enjoyable (viewfinder, manual lenses, interface, etc).

I won't need to acquire any new lenses, and I've already got several D-Li90 batteries. I'm debating whether to get the grip at the same time.

Michaelina2; and to answer your question: you already do that every time you use a search engine for anything (with the possible exception of DDG). Are you really that worried about it? I’m not.

I'm too invested in Full Frame, and also, pretty broke at the moment. So no.

I would love to have the K-3 III. My setup is very APS-C oriented these days. Right now I don't have the budget for it (I think my entire camera set up might be worth around 2,000 dollars...) but if that changes, I think it's a worthwhile investment
