I did remember the affiliate link. I was a little slow on getting my order in because I had a prepaid Visa card that I needed to turn into an Adorama gift card and then applied that. Turns out you have to wait a little bit after getting the email before the electronic gift cards can be used. Gave me a chance to remember to do the affiliate link though!

Well just contact Adam and give him your order number, maybe he can get the credit that way. Same thing happened to me on a lens and that process worked for me.

well , the Black Premium kit now jumped from "Due:30/04/21" to "NO STOCK"
and Pentax-D FA* 50mm f/1.4 SDM HD AW Silver Edition completely vanished from Pentax AU site.
What does that mean?

Just pre-ordered! I have a Ks2, k30, k70 and K3. I love Pentax but the auto focus is not the best. I'm excited for the K3iii auto focus improvement

$2k for a body only APS-C, and another $300 for the grip? Even if I were in the market for a new camera, that's a hard pass for me.

My plan is this:

Ideally wait for the PF - In Depth Staff Review and a few from real owners.
Would be great to wait out the retail price. I'm confident that it will fall in-line once it's on the market for a while.

But, my son plays travel baseball and didn't have much of a season last year. There are fairly aggressive schedule plans July-August for that team, but we'll have to see how vaccine and virus trends are going and if those plans hold up or get scaled down.

With a few of the right reviews from the right sources and his schedule being confirmed and imminent, I might pay the current asking price to shoot those events with the new camera. If reviews are lackluster and/or his season gets toned down, I'll wait out the price.

I can shoot his baseball events just fine with my K5ii and have been doing it for years now. Every indication is that the K3iii would get me some shots and enable some crops though that I'm missing out on now and frankly after a year of not really being able to see him play and staying mostly indoors, it would be worth it to me and my family.

It is an expensive camera, but I really appreciate that Pentax invested in making a camera around the things that I value in a camera and I'd be willing to help them recoup a little of their R&D money if everything lines up just so. Unless a problem reveals itself with the sensor or the AF, I know that I would never regret owning it and I suspect that it might be the last dSLR that I ever buy.
