SMCP-A 50/1.7 on a K-m

Hi --

just wanted to introduce myself. I did a lot of black and white photography years ago on a Pentax film camera, and recently took the plunge into the digital world with a K-m.

I find it amazing to use this high tech gadget, with all of its built in modes, with a lens that was discontinued 25 years ago.

Here are some shots taken with a SMCP-A 50/1.7 on the K-m:

That's one of the joys of being a Pentax owner, some of the other well known brands can't boast the same level of backwards compatability.

I love the expression on his (?) face in the first picture. I can see the thought: "Seriously? I'm trying to take a nap here."

From someone whose current favorite lens is ~46 years old, welcome to the forum.

Nice feline shots!

Can I ask a question? On the K-m, does it have a focus confirm indicator like the other K-digital bodies?

Thanks!

Yeah, it does. Don't know if it's the same one; looks sort of like a square with triangles glued on the left and right sides.

Also known as a "hexagon". Yep, that's the same one.
