Shutter Lifespan

Hey I was just wondering whats the rated shutter life for the *Ist DL/Ds. I'm into my 4000s now and I heard a rumour the guaruntee is only up to 10000. What if it breaks? Will a free repair/replacement be granted under the warranty?

it's more like 100,000 not 10k.

by the time you reach that, you'll probably want a new body anyway...

I want a new body now! Though I'd settle for new knees...and a new back, and while I'm at it....

I'm almost up to 50,000 with no problems, and I know there are others with a lot more, so no need for you to worry :).

Ended up not going, brutal day at work, just wanted to get home and relax, didn't feel like bucking rush hour to get downtown. Will go tomorrow, and take my new Zenitar FE.
