Does you camera have a name?

So I'm just wondering has anyone else given their camera a name? I currently have a beautiful K1 and her name is Emilia. And I have to say I take Emilia everywhere! If anyone else has the same sentiment I would love to hear about it as well as any stories!

"Sorry Jenny(k20d) you've been a dear friend and we have had some great times but we are over... I met a new camera (k3)...Sally and I are going shooting from now on.. pack your things and leave."

Theres also that potential for misunderstanding when.your spouse or friend learns you and "sophie" have been out at the park all day!

Surprisingly no. My wife has named all the computers in the house (including the printer), but no cameras.

Fire Eater? Never really thought about a name, but I do tend to enjoy putting it in harm's way. I.e. Spinning steel wool or near an afterburning jet engine. So I guess it would be something fitting of that.

Our spaniels all have names. Our two VW busses have names (named after departed spaniels). The cameras, no.. well except for the occassional expletive but that goes for the spaniels as well.

My K20D is 'Peter Pentax' - obvious, I know, but named by a friend.

I named the K3 myself - 'Pendragon', after King Arthur's father.

all depends on the personality and vibes

Oh no no no
the Emilia , well it is actually Amélie (I love Audrey Tautou) is definitely my silver K-1ll
The black K-1 is just Bert.

The black "Q" is Chopin ( or Frédéric)
The K10D in Viking ( or Goth )

The silver MX-1 is Chaplin.
My K-30 is definitely Debussy ( hasn't been well lately , needs a new solenoid or perhaps few shots of Calvados will do )

Still , need to get the positive unique vibes from K-3lll and attache an appropriate name to it.

Occasionally I mixed their names but they do not mind.

I am also considering a totally different approach.
I was always fascinated with the Borg species , perhaps designations would be more appropriate / meaningful.

3 of 1 , 3 of 2 , 3 of 3

one of one , one of two

The Q can just stay as Q ( my House of Q members : the Q and Q-s1 )

and then you could have
House of Nikon ( or petaQ )

House of Pentax ( or Qapla )
etc etc

Never cease to be amazed that there can be coincidences on opposite sides of the planet.

Some people have certain names for their cameras but this is a family-friendly forum.

Actually.... yes...
My K-70 is the Digital Baby and my favorite analog is just Baby. But I don’t use the names so often. And all the lenses and other cameras don’t have names. Just those two bodies.

How the heck did we end up like this............(?)
