Do you ever take off your CPL filter?

Do you ever take off your cpl filter or is it just a part of your lens at this point?

In the past, I used cpl filters often, but now very seldom use any filters on my lens when shooting. I believe that filters may sometimes cause distortion. It will be interesting to see others views.

Seldom use them, maybe I should more often, or maybe not.

I leave mine on unless It is night time with minimal illumination. Buy a good quality CPL and have no fear of negative effects on your images

What they said ^ ^ ^.

I have polarizer filters and they have a specific purpose. When I don't need them, they stay in the bag.

I use them - good ones too - but with a purpose. I've stopped using them on wider angle lenses (>24mm) as they will partially darken a blue sky. Again, use with a purpose.

I've gone from using them all the time to not using them at all. My thinking now is that using them in certain situations is probably best.

There is very rarely a point to them. Reflections, a substitute ND filter at a pinch, ... not much else. As it is, my blue skies are easily saturated enough as it is, and readily fine tuned in post anyway.
