Kobie has done something like this too. Even so, I wouldn't.
Me neither but that would give me confidence to get the Pentax shown for sure.

Olympus (OMDS) and Pentax should be shouting this sort of stuff from the highest buildings. It's important in my opinion; I don't seek cover if it's raining I just carry on shooting if the scene gives me what I want.

We had a member , a while ago , who was serving in Afganistan and Germany.
He was regularly showering and filming various Pentax gear , as I can remember it was K-7 + many lenses.
Unfortunately he is not active any more.
Anyone has any , still active , links to his hilarious clips?
Here's one:

I know it is a crazy idea but hey, who knows right? It could be a hit.
It would certainly be a hit with repair shops....
The last thing Pentax needs to do is openly encourage people to drown their cameras.
Now, if their cameras actually met an ISO standard for waterproofing, sure, but they don't, and so all a WR lens cap would do us encourage people to wreck their cameras and then join a class action lawsuit.

I would not expect Pentax to make one, more likely some obscure Chinese plastics manufacturer. Good luck trying to sue them if it leaked - it's hard enough trying to sue even prominent Chinese manufacturers, so I've heard and not that I've even bothered to try, even though I would have liked to at times.

What do you mean - rinse?

OP should explain what his definition of rinse might be. Most of us shudder at the thoughts of dousing our little units of complex electronics in water. Pentax's claims of AW/WR not withstanding.

Unfortunately the OP is looking for the cap for the camera body

Not a rear cap for a lens

Our cameras are, at best, splash proof, not waterproof. They should be OK in a rain storm, I know mine have had no problems. One may get lucky with the occasional dunking, but any sort of pressure spray has a good chance of defeating the seals, and we know that Pentax will rarely honor their warranty if the damage is caused by water inside the camera.
