Focus confirmation on K10D with M lenses

Hey everybody,

Sorry if this has come up (I did do a search) but I'm wondering if anybody can verify this.

I like to select my own focus point for both auto and manual focus. Using FA lenses, I can get any focus point to give me confirmation when using manual focus, even in manual mode, but with M lenses I can only get the center-point to work.

Is that just the way it is? Anybody know why? I would have though it was up to the sensor / body rather than the lens.

Never mind.

Apparently, I didn't do a search of the manual--with A lenses, it becomes center point only.

Confirmation!--thanks manual! :P

Manual is right, I only get center focus confirmation too with my M42 lens.

Aye, centre red dot only, green hexagon confirmation.

This seems true for any third party lens as well. Its okay I guess with portraits. Composing for landscapes can be challenging. I chose my wide angle to be Pentax only.
