He seems the kind of person who tells himself he's settling down but keep rotating gear. When you're a youtuber the temptation must be difficult to resist.
Especially when you only allow yourself to have 2 cameras and you need to constantly make videos!

I don't regret selling either of my KP's..........because I haven't, and most likely never will. It is a great camera and deserves to become a Pentax classic.

I gave up even trying to accomplish that.I have about 6 digital cameras on the go, plus about 4 film cameras I have on near constant rotation.

Similar, I have 2 Pentax apsc, an IR, a Fuji mirror less and two film cameras + a spare. How does anyone manage with less?

It’s interesting to me to read the comments about the ergonomics for the KP. I had loved my K-S1 (aperture block problem) and so was delighted that Pentax had come out with another smallish, light-weight camera. I sure hope that Pentax comes out with a replacement, but NOT with the ergonomics of a K3 series camera. If I were to want something that size and weight, I would buy a K3III.

I’ll keep my current KP for as long as it lasts (it’s fairly new, I bought a replacement when my first one broke) and hope that there’s a KP-like camera available when it finally fails.

I love Burling's videos because one he is a Pentax\Ricoh fan, two he shows pictures rather than blather on stats, and three his dog is the most photogenic dog ever. I almost bought a KP due to his video but I convinced myself that the last thing I needed was another camera body. I was going to wait for the used prices to drop...and they never have, which is probably Mattias's conundrum right now.

I was still using a K-3 and K-5iis when a used silver KP hit eBay at an attractive price. Once I added the battery grip, my K-3 went to a new home via PF Marketplace. Later, I nabbed a black KP with a very low shutter count (also eBay) and then sold the K-5iis. I liked the ergonomics of the bigger bodies, but the image quality, especially at high ISO won me over.
