The page seems to exist in at least two versions.
The one I posted is natively in English, but the other is Japanese and needs translating … wish they'd publish more of their "user information guide" pages in English, they'd be so much more useful

See Firmware for PENTAX K-3 Mark III released on December 7 (Young Generation) | PENTAX official (you may need a translator) for some insight into "satobi" from the man who coined the term.

Might be a tad lonely, we can just followw each other on some popular image sharing site.
There are a few more, who perhaps don''t always post anymore as the digital pictures crowd the forum (but not when the thread was initiated)

for some insight
^^^ thank you!

"Many of PENTAX's custom images are unique, and are especially suitable for depicting the beauty of Japan and the scenery of the four seasons. Many Japanese users take JPEG images and evaluate them, which is very encouraging for PENTAX, which values the impression that is engraved on the spot. This custom image was born after I was worried about how to make JPEG images taken and created so that not only Japanese users but also overseas users would like it. I wanted to create a custom image that reproduces a universal image that makes you feel nostalgic.

Although it is the name of a new custom image, I decided to use Satobi, which is the antonym of Ya, because it is the opposite of MIYABI, which is suitable for expressing colorful landscapes freshly. It's a word that expresses the countryside, and it's a word that leads to the nostalgia that you want to feel, so I think it's a perfect name.

In order to express universal nostalgia, we aimed for a texture similar to that of color photographs from the 1960s to the 1970s. In contrast to MIYABI, which has a glittering impression, SATOBI has an image that makes you feel a little melancholy."

Thanks for the translation. I can definitely see the purpose of this new profile. I already knew the japanese shoot JPEG for the most part.

I would question whether a nationality or cultural norms really reach to whether or not to edit photos with a RAW processor...

Hi,
I wondered about the Satobi color profile. Is there a way to get it on the K-70?
Thanks for your replies!
Probably a dumb question, but what is Satobi?

It's a newly developed "Custom Image" profile, initially for the K-3iii, meant to replicate the look of older colour film.
I posted this link https://pentaxofficial.com/shirebashiruhodo/12665/ a few posts up which may help
