Pentaxpoke:

Once again you have provided an amazing shot from a unique vantage point. Thank you for taking the time to bring this to all of us. I'll be resting much easier when I take my K20, in the winter, up to the mountains of NH. Maine and New York.

Thanks again for all the kind comments. If you would like to read more about the story of this mission, (including video of the balloon burst!) click this link:

ASTRO-12 Post Flight

It was not easy getting this data back because of where the payloads landed, but it was worth it!

As promised, I am back to post some more photos from our recent flight of ASTRO-12. This time we flew the mission with the Pentax 10-17 fisheye (at 10mm of course) on the k10d. First a picture, and then the story...

Oklahoma from 98,514 ft. Picture is "defished"

Wow that is one amazing picture !

Thanks for keeping us up to date

Fantastic shots and story! I enjoyed the website and video. I especially like that you mention the "high resolution Pentax camera system" as part of the overall craft.

Pentax should at the minimum give you another camera/lens combo to support your research, especially with all the great publicity you've given them.

BTW, I've posted this at the Texas Photo Forum. It should give the Canon and Nikon guys there something to think about.
