That looks really nice! It's like the camera and lens were designed for each other - especially with that silver hood (nice touch... Marc Newson would approve, I'm sure ). I like the hot-shoe electronic level unit, too. It all looks like a nice, well-integrated, purpose-designed kit; quite streamlined and aero-dynamic, even... Not something I thought I'd ever say about the K-01

nice to read your comments
Thank you Mike

Nothing so exotic here, the KP with the DA20-40 shot in low key. I actually set this shot to use it for the Project 52 Low Key challenge, and for this thread, a two for one shoot.

I agree with Mike, a good looking combo. I have the lens and have always thought it was attractive, as well as a performer. Interestingly I have the same hood for it, but in black. Both your K-01 and F35-70 look brand new!

@MarkJerling was unwittingly responsible for me picking up a copy of the F35-70 f/4 some time back, and I've never regretted it. It's a cracking lens on digital. I may have to pick up one of those hoods to go with mine, as I currently use it with the adjustable hood on the end of my left arm

K-1 with Sunpak 555

My K-1 with grip and favourite flash unit. The 555 (also sold as the G4500DX) is a bit more powerful and featured than the contemporary Pentax AF400T, and better looking I think. It has seven Manual and seven Auto power levels, plus film era TTL.

The camera connection is via the [now rare] coiled Sunpak multi-pin cable and a Pentax-dedicated module in the hotshoe. This gives film-era dedication, not P-TTL of course, but a few things like a flash ready indication in the K-1's viewfinder. The effect of various combinations of camera/555 modes are complex but I generally use the camera in Manual or "X" for flash.

This outfit is very heavy! I don't usually have the grip on with the flash.

K-1 with M-Series 100mm F4 Macro Lens and Vintage Sunpak Ring Flash

The flash has Manual, Auto, and film era TTL modes, but not P-TTL of course. The foot of the battery box is a Pentax dedicated module which incorporates
the Auto sensor, but it is not so useful for very close-up because the sensor is not in the line of the lens. But it does has five manual power levels so for
my uses I can soon find the right exposure with chimping.
