What an absolute great way to ease the pain of the first day of work in the new year... come home to a shiny (well, not really) brown box with UPS tape sealing it up.

After what felt like an eternity, my K20D is finally in hand and I'm just blown away by the number of additional customizable features available that built into the camera. Still reading through the manual just to make sure I don't miss any new features!

Haven't even begun to start testing the camera other than a few shots fired off to see how it feels; have to say that I'm even more impressed with first impressions than I was with the K10D.

haha i shud be extremely lucky... i got one on ebay for USD440= CAD 540 couple of weeks back...but sold it off for CAD700 + a tripod since it was too complicated..
Tip: If u want it at a low price do not buy it from power sellers ... wait for a normal user to sell it off... it comes rare though... got to wait..

I just bought one of these too today off the prodigital site... ebay was kind enough to send me a 10% off coupon so that helped push me over the edge. Really, it's kind of dumb of me as I know I'm not taking the k10d to it's potential yet. But I do like the lens calibration feature, more cropping ability, and better iso performance... so my wallet is a little thinner, but I can't wait!

I still say Prodigital2000 sucks and especially the way they treat their customers.

I'm not sure you would get charged duty on camera equipment but it could depend on luck. I didn't when I bought a K100D Super from B&H. Warranty issues I'm sure we are better off buying from Prodigital though.
There are no customs duties on camera equipment and lenses between the USA and Canada.

I don't think it's my imagination, but does the shutter sound on K20D sound much cleaner and crisper than the K10D? Not the speed of the shutter, obviously, but just the overall sound itself?

Loving it!

That's odd. Certainly you must mean $540 USD. In the past 60 days, $540 USD is the lowest selling price for a used Pentax K20D camera.

Okay, the snow and the rain are really starting to bum me out; got this fantastic new toy to play with and not feeling motivated to get out and shoot anything and getting really bored with "test" shots... loving the quality of the pictures coming from the K20D though!

ISO 200, FA 35 F/2, default "bright" settings in JPG with some PP to compensate for under exposure

ISO 800, DA* 50-135, default "bright" settings in JPG with some PP to compensate for under exposure and tungsten color balance

Nice samples - what lenses for those? Also, jpeg, raw, if jpeg, what setting?

I am wondering from where Prodigital2000 is ordering Pentax camera & lenses?

The gear is brand new and not refurbished?
