I think my wife may be hooked...

Spotted last week photographing butterflies using a Tamron 90/2.5 macro (a GREAT old lens) on my K100D. Maybe I can convince her that I really should buy the new body Pentax has up its sleeve?

By the way, this pic was shot with Tmax 400 using a Super-Takumar 50/1.4 mounted on a ZX-M.

You have a great strategy: Get her hooked into photography and upgrading your gear as you go along. Nice move!

She appears to be so into taking that shot. The trick is working ...

That's a great shot! The film is so nice too! Hehehe! You're trying a trick I'm using on my wife too! I got her started on my old point and shoot and she said it was too slow, then somehow she got her hands on my camera and when I got it back, she's been trying to steal more moments with it. I won't be able to go to a K10 though. Perhaps a used *ist D as was my original plan back in December.

Good Luck!

Yeah, I love shooting film. But my God, is it ever expensive compared to digital! Between the film and the development, it can get up to $15-20 per roll now that I don't have a darkroom. For the number of frames I've shot with my K100D since December (~4000), that would have been over $2000 in film and developing alone. Of course, with digital I take infinitely more "throw-away" shots, so it's not really a fair comparison.

But hey, maybe I can convince my wife that since I'm so budget-conscious shooting digital, I deserve a bigger lens budget...

I guess I'm backwards, my wife had 4 SLRs when we met. My first was a hand me down K1000, she immediately bought another to replace the one she gave me. She had the first DSLR as well, an istD I gave her.
