Went to Ritz

I tried out the K10D and it was my favorite. Other than smiling. I definitely am ditching Canon for that baby now!

I am surprised they had one, I know Ritz I bet you got a great deal on it. Enjoy your new camera I liked it as well and was all set on a Sony or maybe Olympus until I picked up the K10, compared to the Nikon D60s, Canon Rebels... although all can take pics just as good (well...), I believe the K10 feels like a tank and more "serious" than they do. BTW Pentax offers for up to 30 or 60 days after purchase the opportunity to buy an extended two year warranty for I think $100, at least I know they do for the K20 and I assume the K10 as well. Call them up and if you can get the extra two year warranty in the next month or two, its a very wise investment. That's not to say it breaks down easy it does not, but you never know and all dSLRs fall out of spec and need tune ups one day, buy it

The Ritz over here is a fancy hotel in London, where you go for afternoon tea, not cameras.

We have those, too. I prefer the camera store.

For now I think I'm going to stick with the *ist DS2 or DL, I might upgrade to the K10D sometime soon, but I like the incredible compactness.
