K200D weather sealing question

I just noticed that my new K200D doesn't seem to have any weather sealing around the hatch where the ports for PC connection, and DC in are located.
Is this a weakness in the weather sealing or have I missed something?

There are 2 seals on my K200SD; one around the DC in receptacle, and one that surrounds both the USB port and remote release socket.

yes, I see what you mean - they are part of the plastic moulding of the hatch cover, but there doesn't appear to be any rubber seals?

The rubber seals are on the camera body side. The cover closes against them. I don't know how effective they are, but I am not likey/can't afford to test them. BTW, what part of NZ are you in? I was fortunate enough to spend an afternoon and evening in Christchurch and would love to come back someday.

I live in Christchurch. When were you here? Are you expecting to come back sometime? There are some great opportunities for shooting landscapes in NZ
