Advice on buy: Refurb k100d or ist-dl?

My pay periods were such taht I missed out on the $250 for k100d. There is a $300 now and a $215 for a ist-DL. Which a better deal and why?

My use this camera body is to pay back up while the k20d is off getting its spa time back at the mother ship and then to play second body until I am ready to convert to IR.

Idea?

I've never had an *ist body before however fromwhat I recall the *ist bodies did not have SR. If SR is a make or break feature for you I would say the K100D is the body you will want.

I believe the "Super" version of the K100D had both the Dust Removal system and with the right firmware will drive SDM lenses.

Until I upgraded to the k200D, my previous upgrade had been from the DL to the k100D Super. Frankly, the DL was a nice starter DSLR for me, but the SR alone on the k100D Super was worth the upgrade. If I were you, I'd go for the k100D Super out of those 2. I still have mine as a backup until I decide what to do with it, but I loved using the k100D. I got a great deal on the k200--only reason I upgraded.

As far as price, I presume you are referring to the $300 deal at Onecall? Here's the link.

That's the one. Hit the Buy button! and the they tried to charge me twice for tax, I'm in WA and the tax ... Need to wait until morning to talk with a person.

Thanks for the info. This will be great.
