Pic shot with an uber expensive $ camera!

Ooops sorry - a cheap Canon A540 6mp p&s was used
congratulations for the shot. i've also seen insects photographed in mid air with a P&S camera, macro mode.

could you explain the relevance of this picture in a thread of "pentax vs. canon vs. nikon (digital SLR) AF" ?

I really needed to spend another $ 3000 but only had a p&s, skill and patience

The digital age has forever changed photography i.e a point and shoot in decent hands can easily produce pics the same or if not better (disregarding specialist applications as sport, low light) as an unskilled ignorant with too much cash to spend

otherwise, the thread is bound to generate nothing other than flames. this is why i started posting here. pentax offers an interesting and cheaper alternative to the other two makers maybe even better, but only on a certain domain and usage area, that is why i don't approve of users marching in here singing "Pentax, Pentax über alles"
Yes, this thread is bound to generate nothing but flames - and this is exactly what you are doing. Stop it.

About as relevant as yours were...given that you probably didn't get permission from your clients to use their pictures in this TrollFest you've been on...

Oh, and by the way, I have a K20D, not a K10, and BTW, the serial number is 2869145130809.
Oh, and I don't drool over brochures, troll. I'm not a camera geek (yet).

I don't need to compare specs with other brands because, frankly, i really could NOT care less, even if I TRIED. The K20D is WAY more camera than I need, and it suits me JUST fine, thanks troll.

I got tired of taking ratty pics on an 8year-old p&s (Canon S110) so I went out and got a nice camera.

And you're telling ME to look in the mirror?

Troll....have a seat...let me explain something to you...

You are on a PENTAX forum - I mean, shouldn't be hard to figure out - it's named PENTAXFORUMS.COM

Now, you're coming on to a PENTAX forum, talking down pentaxes, and how wonderful super-nifty your Nikon D80 is and *I* need to look in the mirror? So we are all supposed to be impressed because Mr. Super Pro Wedding Photographer uses a 2-Year old consumer-level camera for professional work?

Even a n00b like myself knows better...

You keep squawking about comparisons, and specs, and shootouts, and blah blah blah.

You may not think you are, but you are trolling.
Just like the punks on the Honda vs Subaru, or Ford vs Chevy vs Chrysler, etc...
Going onto a Ford forum, and saying Honda's rule, and Ford's suck, is known as trolling.
It's NO DIFFERENT when you go onto a Pentax forum, and say Nikon's rule, yeah, even your SuperProfessionalMegaSuperDuperImaging D-80.

It's called TROLLING

Meh - conversation done - you are obviously a clueless troll, and I'm actually at fault for feeding you.

Apologies to the rest - I shoulda' known better - I'm new here, but not to forums and trolls.
