K200 battery grip at Amazon for $48.99 US

Can this be correct? What is wrong with it? Is it some imposter? It appears to be the genuine article. Why am I skeptical when it doesn't anywhere else that i can find for less than $100 US?

Cameta Camera is legit, so if you want it, I'd order it sooner rather than later. Who knows if this is short-lived or not.

Edit: Frankly, Willoughby's has it cheaper on Amazon at $56 shipped, and they're legit also. I went with them--but either way, this is a nice deal. Thanks for the heads up.

Buy it now; be glad you did!

If I were you and needed one for your K200d, I'd buy it now.

I am glad to see the coast of the BG2 seems to be coming down nowadays. I picked one up via Amazon last month for $112, brand new. I wonder if they are blowing them out because they are not likely to fit the next body Pentax release this Spring?

Oh well!

I received my BG3 today from Cameta.
I can't get it to work. I tried many different batteries inside, including ones that work in the K200D. The camera's setup screen shows the grip under "battery", but it shows the batteries in depleted (red) state only. The grip's "on" button does not turn on the camera . The grip's shutter button can only focus with a half press, but it won't take a picture.
What could I possibly be doing wrong ?
I think I got a defective grip

One of the pins seems receded compared to the other. After tightening the grip screw much more, the grip works as expected. So ignore the above.

Just bought one for my K200D from Cameta, as low as 50 bucks... In france they sell it as 140 euros !!! (About 200 bucks !!!)

Something is going wrong there ...

I can say from my professional experience that some large companies differentiate too much their resell prices and margins secon to their markets ... Hope Hoya corp will clean the distribution to honest levels worlwide.

Best regards,

Thomas
