I have a new K20D and the lens is a pentax 18-55 SMC DA lens and I can noit get the camer to multi-segment meter mode is there some setting I did not do?

How do you know that it is not using Multi?

First the obvious, did you set in on the camera?

Hey Bern, I'm not sure what you mean? you don't see the segments, it is just setting the way the lightmeter works..

There is nothing to see in the viewfinder regarding light metering. The only thing you'll see in the viewfinders in little red squares telling you where the camera is locking in for focus.

I suppose what's confusing the issue is that the manul probably shows a picture of the viewfinder with the segments superimposed so you can tell about where they are. But indeed, they don't *actually* show up in the viewfinder.
