K20D - User Comment

Hi,

I am new to the K20D and have been wondering if there was a way to setup a User Comment to apply to all the photos -- sort of like a Copyright EXIF data?

I haven't read the manual cover-to-cover but a quick search on the pdf file found nothing. My apologies if this has been asked and/or answered before.

Thanks much.

Hi EsBee, Welcome!

I'm not aware of any feature like this on the camera.

I tag my copyright in the metadata in Adobe Bridge while I'm importing them from the memory card. You can create a template and have it appended to each image as it's copied to your computer, so there's no "extra" step.

The same, I do. You can't do that in-camera, as far as I know.

Chris and Ben, thank you both. I thought so too but still wanted to hear it from those who know more.

Cheers.

There is no such option in Pentax cameras.
You can use external software to do this while you download your photos to computer (like Adobe Bridge, Adobe Lightroom, Exiftool).

Or there is another way - modify with HEX editor firmware of your cam (replace manufacturer or camera name for example) and update it. But this is very dangerous way.
