Also at Adorma the price jumped from less then $700 to $900?

I was going to get mine this week end but I don't understand whats going on?

The previous prices were a holiday special. Pentax and their distributors gave dealers a special price. Map was $999.95 w/lens. Now the price has risen and the new map is $1079.95. Didn't expect to see electronis prices going up with the economy the way it is

Adorama is showing $849 for the body only. It was $742 a couple days ago, and was over $900 a week or two ago.

BH is out of stock on the body only but has the 16-45 and 18-55 kits in stock (at a lower price than Adorama). Who knows why...

ok I am not waiting anymore ... what a mistake it was not to get it on Xmas

this weekend I'am getting the k20D. I live in NYC if any one from the local stores is reading this and want to make me an offer and make me go to their store and not the other.. that would be great

Interesting to see Adorama jump like that. For a while, they were beating B&H at the Pentax price game - the K20D over the holidays as noted, but also back in October when I got my AF360 flash, they beat B&H by $40. I consider myself a B&H guy, but when I can save that much (and not have to transfer subways . . .), I can't pass that up.

Bought a BG-2 Grip for a K20D from Tri-State via their eBay store last November... delivered in two days to Michigan. I was new as advertised. I'm very pleased.

well Sunday morning I'm packing my credit card and aiming to a store. will buy the 31mm as well

buy then B&H hopefully will get it back in stock so I could compare prices with them as well.
anyway on Sunday for sure I am coming home with a new camera

I live in New York City too, and am currently looking at selling some of my equipment as I need money due to job situation. I have a K20D and also a 31mm which I love but am willing to sell. You can see a picture taken with the lens at pentaxphotogallery.com under artist name Martin Brand (the one called "how"). I can send you many more taken with the lens which is my favourite.

I would be willing to sell both the lens and the body combined for $1300 if that appeals to you? They are both in great shape. Let me know if you are interested. I live in the West Village andn could meet up Sunday.

PS your quote about learning photography is very humble. the pictures in your flickr stream are very good.
